APW - Elgin, Veritas with winding indicator, 23J, 18S, 6oz coin silver OF original Fahys case, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel arbor, diamond endstone surrounded by decorative gold disk, ornate nickel damascene, s#16602061.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good winding indicator function, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous plates with typical scattered micro-fine scratches, steelwork with oxide, larger winding wheel with micro-fine scratch striations from past sanding; dial with clusters of hls and fractures below seconds-register at 6 and at 7 with some associated small surface flakes; fine hands, minute with oxide; case shows medium wear, cuvette with mild shallow crease-type dent near center, lip of inner case rear has a few small stray marks adjacent one of the mvt case screw positions but we do not interpret these as having come from case ever containing any other mvt; bow pivots freely and is somewhat misshapen, crown shows medium wear and has a bit of excess up/down play; thick glass crystal with many scattered short scratches and nicks.
